Have you learned this Fast and Fun way of creating albums?
Power 5 - the powerful way to complete great looking albums!

Here are the 5 steps to Power 5.
You can always tweak and adjust to your style depending on time available and the project you are working on. This method allows you to learn how to fit album making into the nooks and crannies of your life since most of us don't find ourselves gifted with large blocks of time!

First, start with putting together approx. 50 photos...and any memoribilia that goes with them. Put them in general order.

besides photos gather any memoribilia that goes with the photos if you like to add things like ticket stubs and programs. In adidtion, you'll need
• an album or at least loose pages
• a personal trimmer
• A few peices of colored paper, pre-chosen. Liimiting your choices to one or two color groupings makes it really easy!
• a set of ABC stickers if you like to use them for titles - not necessary, but these do add color
• Tape runner/adhesives
• a CM Power Layout box.
• a CM pen for journaling.
• Stickers as desired...you won't need to worry about them right away, unless you are coming to a workshop to learn these steps!

Step 1: TACKLE the Mess! – Selecting the photos you will USE in your album, put them in order along with any memorabilia.

Step 2: TRIM – all your photos – all at once. (YES THIS WORKS…I WAS A ‘LATE ADOPTER’ BUT IT WORKS!)

Step 3: TRANSFER the trimmed photos to Power Layout™ pages.
Do NOT worry about decoration here, except for the occasional “very special” page or, obviously, if you are matting your photos or adding background paper, you will do so during this step. I recommend that you only matt one special photo per page if done at all.

Step 4: TAPE the photos into your album.

Step 5: TELL the story and THEN add TOUCHES: (borders, stickers, etc) (yes, “Tell” before adding “Touches” … it works!! Right now you are sure I am crazy. Did you like the album pages I have displayed on this website? These were all created with the Power 5 method!!

When you are done taping… have fun with more paper and stickers!

Look at it this way. IF you never get around to decorating, 25 years from now, it won’t matter…you’ll have the journaling there. IF you never get around to journaling it WILL matter 25 years from now!

OK...now, Start all over! Select your next batch of photos to Tackle, Trim, Transfer to Layout guides, Tape, Tell and add finishing Touches as desired…working in little bits of time, or the occasional big blocks of time provided by my workshops.

But what happens if my workshop times never seem to work for you?

1. Do what some of my customers already do and what I do.....find a couple of friends and hole up at someone's house for the weekend to work on albums.

2. OR if you need to get away from it all, go to a suite hotel for the weekend. Bring along a card table, request an extra table from the hotel. You'll get so much done and come back ready to face your world!

Your privacy is important to us. Creative Memories respects the privacy of every individual who visits one of its Web sites. In particular, the security of your personal information provided in relation to the services offered at mycmsite.com (the "Site"), is of great concern to Creative Memories. Services

Creative Memories is committed to providing you with a secure environment for Consultant-Customer connection. When using the services provided on the Site you may be required to provide some personal information to help assist Creative Memories or a Creative Memories Consultant conduct business with you. Each Site is assigned to a specific Creative Memories Consultant, and is managed by that individual through a password protected account. As a customer, when you access a Site you are interacting with a Creative Memories Consultant, who is an independent consultant operating their own Creative Memories business.

Personal Information

Creative Memories only uses your personal information to assist in providing the services available to you at the Site you choose to access. Your personally identifiable information will not be rented, sold or shared with any third party, except as provided to third party intermediaries who help us run the Site. Your personal information is only provided to third parties, such as credit card authorization companies, technical advisors, vendors processing our outbound email communication, etc., for the purpose of providing you the Site services requested at the time you request them. Third parties do not store, retain, access or otherwise use your personal information other than to provide you with the requested Site services, and they are held to confidentiality agreements with Creative Memories.

This Privacy Policy applies to Creative Memories. Since the specific Site you access is managed by a Creative Memories Consultant, they may have access to your personal information in order to assist in providing requested services. Creative Memories Consultants are individually responsible for ensuring the security and privacy of your personal information. Creative Memories Consultants must only use a customer's personal information for conducting business with that customer and is not permitted to rent, sell or share this information. It is a violation of Creative Memories' Policies and Procedures to inappropriately disclose of personal information obtained from customers. Please contact your Creative Memories Consultant regarding their privacy practices.

Creative Memories may use non-identifying and aggregate information for the purpose of enhancing the mycmsite.com services and to share with business partners. For example, Creative Memories may tell a partner that X number of individuals visited a certain area on the site, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out a registration form, but Creative Memories would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Creative Memories reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at its sole discretion. If there is a need to change the Privacy Policy, we will email Creative Memories Consultants who own a mycmsite.com account and, where appropriate, post any changes for customer viewing announcing the new Privacy Policy. If applicable, Creative Memories will provide Site users with a way to opt out of any changes to the way their personal information will be used.

INFORMATION COLLECTED

Information Explicitly Provided

When you place an order at a Site you will need to provide personally identifiable information:
  • mailing address
  • billing name and address
  • credit card number and expiration date

Creative Memories only uses your credit card information to process your order and will not share this information with any third party, except as provided by necessity to third party intermediaries who are integral in processing your order.

If you wish to register for an event, you will need to provide your email address so your Creative Memories Consultant can keep you updated. Your Creative Memories Consultant will use your email address and other contact information you may provide to organize an event. If you wish not to be contacted by your Creative Memories Consultant the future, you must reply to a Consultant's correspondence indicating that you wish to opt out of future emails. Creative Memories Consultants are obligated to honor these requests.

Information Automatically Collected (electronic)

Cookies and Pixel Tags - Creative Memories uses cookies and pixel tags to track users of mycmsite.com. Cookies are pieces of information stored on a user's computer by a Web site so preferences are remembered on future requests. Pixel tags (also know as "Web Bugs," "Web Beacons," "Clear Gifs," "Invisible Gifs," and "Tracker Gifs") are signals sent from certain Web sites or emails used to pass certain information to our servers to personalize our Web sites and to track your usage. Creative Memories does not save password or credit card number information on cookies or through use of pixal tags. Rather, cookies and pixel tags are used to optimize the performance and functionality of the site, and to personalize the site for you and present you with content and offers specific to your interests.

Creative Memories uses this information to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of the site and to help us make the site more useful to visitors.

Creative Memories is committed to the security of your personal information. Creative Memories uses industry best practices to protect the privacy of your personally identifiable information. Please note that if based on good faith belief that the law requires it, or to protect your or Creative Memories' rights or property, Creative Memories will disclose your personal information to the extent required.

When you supply your Creative Memories Consultant you email, they may send you promotions and other information regarding products and services. If you choose to opt out, you will be provided with a means to do so on each communication.
