No Mountain too High
Seven years ago Matt Swartz made a promise to his 10-year-old son. No big deal there – we all make promises to our kids. Problem is, Matt promised his son that, when he turned 17, they would attempt to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.
That's a big promise from a 365-pound man. But Matt found his motivation and fought his way back to health. And the dawn of 2012 found Matt and Nathaniel in Tanzania, staring up at their goal.
Every step of the way, Creative Memories scrapbook albums have captured and celebrated the story. "My photo albums gave me an outlet to share my journey with people in a way that would let them see that it was a lot of hard work, but worth it," remembers Matt. "As I flip through the pages of the albums that I created to chronicle this journey, those albums remain a powerful reminder to never forget where I came from. It's through these albums that I think God continues to help me find healing as I reflect on why I allowed myself to become so overweight."
